VOLUNTEERS
Volunteering at the Walden Family Playhouse is a wonderful way for the entire family to get involved in the magic of live theatre:
  • Theatre lovers age 13 and up can be ushers for our performances. As a thank you for your time, you will receive 2 free tickets for every day that you volunteer as an usher.
  • Administrative volunteer opportunities are also available for anyone of high school age and older. Volunteering in our theatre offices offers a chance to see first-hand everything that goes into creating and maintaining a successful professional children's theatre.
Anyone interested in being a volunteer usher can call our House Manager at (303) 590-1475.

For more information about our administrative volunteer opportunities, please email us at volunteer@waldenfamilyplayhouse.com or call our offices at
(303) 215-1530
.

ACTORS
Our productions involve professional adult and child actors, depending on the needs of each show. Because of our rehearsals and showtimes, daytime availability is also required. Child role auditions are first held among students enrolled in the “Walden Workshop” before opening auditions to the general public. If you are interested in being notified of audition opportunities, please send a headshot and resume to the address at the bottom of the page.

APPRENTICESHIPS
Our apprenticeship program is available to both students and non-students. These non-paying apprenticeships are for individuals who are interested in learning about the creative aspects of theater. The areas of concentration include acting, design, and technical theatre.

INTERNSHIPS
Administrative Internships are available for college credit.
We work with several colleges and universities such as the University of Colorado at Denver, Metropolitan State College of Denver, and several out of state colleges and universities. Please contact the Career Resources department of your college or university for information on specific requirements for internships. All interns must be students, age 18 or older. For high school students who are interested in learning more about theater, volunteer opportunities are also available. Resumes for internships are always being accepted, but if you are looking to receive college credit, please allow enough time before the start of the semester for your application to be considered.
